Philipp Kremers is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Artificial Intelligence and Democratic Citizenship Initiative (AIDC) at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He earned his PhD in Philosophy from Georgetown University in 2026.
His research interests include social and political philosophy, social epistemology, and philosophy of technology. In general, he is interested in how socio-technical systems can contribute to (or undermine) the realization of freedom. His research has appeared in academic journals such as Synthese and Inquiry as well as in public-facing outlets such as Jacobin and Jungle World. Prior to Georgetown, Philipp studied philosophy in Oxford, St Andrews, Vienna, and Leipzig. He is originally from Germany’s North Sea coast.
